We learn to expect less

A recent addition to the huge family of video sharing, social networking website is FlixFocus.com . The website made a soft launching last April 16. Even though the site promises to offer more audio, video and images, as well as a new experience in sharing and social networking, the site is still al ilcurrently wanting in terms of design, functionality and content.

FlixFocus offers nothing new in the media-sharing department. The website basically has the same features of media sharing site such as sharing of audio, images and videos online by members. Members can also send instant messages to each other, create media blogs, get in touch with friends, add comments on posted media files, rate the contents, and embed any FlixFocus video, photo or music to your profile page or blog on MySpace, Friendster, Blogger, WordPress, and other similar websites.

To put it frankly, I don't find any impressive innovation FlixFocus has made in the area of media sharing and social networking. The site reminds me of the cluttered, aesthetically deprived YouTube. If you're going to copy YouTube, you might as well create design and functionality as distinctly your own. I just don't see the point of creating more media sharing websites like FlixFocus that lacks innovation, originality and character.
