MegaVideo has launched and they’re taking on Google’s little pet head on. Based out of hongKong, Mega Video claims right on their slogan that they are better than YouTube. I haven’t found any reaction from YouTube yet but I guess they’re just letting MegaVideo prove itself.

In a featured video on the frontpage of MegaVideo, they say that they are better than YouTube in 10 ways:

1. Video publishers can earn money through a rewards program

2.  Publishers can also earn money through AdBrite in-video advertisements

3.  Users can move the playback position to anywhere in the video

4.  The website supports twenty languages

5. The video player can be customized to match the designs of websites where you want to embed

6.  There is no maximum playtime for video uploads

7.  Video conversion takes no more than 30 minutes

8. Videos can be uploaded in batch

9.  Original video files can be downloaded

10. Megavideo loves you more than YouTube

Now, I’m not sure if YouTube will be offended but these are actually very valid claims and YouTube has not done most of the things on that list.

Checking out the MegaVideo content, they have mostly asian videos but they are also gaining momentum in the western hemisphere.

So, will YouTube be pissed?
