Make Way for Animoto Videos

If you think recent web based slideshow presentations applications are good, you better try . This beta web based application is, for lack of a better term, awesome. Built with Ruby on Rails, it allows users to render impressive video montages. The AI technology Animoto uses gives new meaning to online video creators.

Animoto has a classic interface of black, gray background and white texts which I particularly like. The overall interface is simple, clean and really easy to use. Users can upload images from their PC or popular hosting sites. Audios can be selected from Animoto’s selection, which unfortunately is still quite few, or from specified discs. The patented AI technology then creates a video montage that is unique in every way. It cuts, slice, creates transitions, establishes the tone customized to your music, and it does this in only a fraction of a time.

Available for free is the 30 second video shorts. This can then be emailed to friends or posted on various sites. To create longer, full length video montages, you need to pay Animoto a fee. Full-length video is of unlimited length and includes a high-resolution download and you can get these features if you pay $3 per unlimited video or $30 per year for unlimited usage. Pretty cheap if you ask me.
