Yahoo Executive Steps Down

YahooCareer wise, there are certain levels one reaches that stepping down and would seem to be the stupidest thing to do.

Anyway, Cammie Dunaway, Yahoo’s Chief marketing officer and Head of Customer Experience Division stepped down today after serving the internet giant for 4 years. Dunaway was in charge of global branding, marketing , user insights, experience and design. Basically she was one of the bosses and it probably took her years to get there. She hasn’t made public her reason for leaving but graciously put it as "seeking new opportunities."

Well, I have no idea how their minds work but with a job like that in a company like that and a pay like that, it would take more than the thought of new oppurtunities to sway me to step down. I’d just like to speculate that Yahoo may be having problems internally. On the other hand maybe not, we’ve seen Google executives and NewsCorp. executives step down for greener pasteurs lately.

Oh well, whatever the reason may be, I hope I get to talk to people like Cammie Dunaway someday and ask them how they do what they did.
