Round the Clock Acquisitions 11-15-2007

Earlier, I read an article on Read/Write Web about blogs being in a "digestion" stage.  In other words, latent or unprofitable.  The article did not specifically say that ALL blogs aren’t making money, instead, it suggested generally that blogs are something like an open source project that VC’s should avoid funding.  Up to this point I’m just sharing what  I read.  From here though comes the ironic part.  One of our recepients of funding today is a well known blog who probably makes tons of cash from their ads and heavy traffic.

Anyway, thanks to Mashable and TechCrunch for today’s round up.

Israel-based Taboola will solve that rather complex problem, for video sites at least. They’ll be announcing $1.5 million in financing tomorrow from Evergreen Venture Partners .

GigaOmni Media, the group behind NewTeeVee and GigaOM has raised an undisclosed amount over $1 million in its second round of funding. Providers of the current round are previous investor True Ventures, and a few other undisclosed angels.
