Today’s roundup started slow but other news came up later in the day. Here’s for today from the usual suspects Mashable , TechCrunch and PEHub .

IPTV and media service company Avail Media, Inc. has just closed the final tranche of a $25 million Series B equity round. Valhalla Partners joined previous backers Columbia Capital, Novak Biddle Venture Partners, and Pioneer Ventures for this round. Along with the company’s $5 million in debt financing from Silicon Valley Bank, the total amount of capital raised by Avail Media this year alone now reaches $30 million.

AdBrite has raised $23 million from Sequoia Capital and Artis Management. Originally an ad network for mostly text-based advertising similar to Google AdSense, AdBrite has become a full-service network for third-party publishers, offering display advertising and recently introducing a product for monetizing Facebook applications, as well as a full page ad option.

Snooth Inc., a wine review site, today announced $1 million in angel funding from the company’s initial backers, as well as a new group of international investors. This is the company’s second round, following an initial $300,000 raised in December 2006. The new funds will be used to scale the development team, integrate the current backlog of merchants that have already partnered with Snooth, and add new retailers worldwide.

French Internet company Hi-Media,operator of one of Europe’s largest ad networks and micro-payment services, completed its acquisition today of Fotolog. The $90 million deal was first announced last August.

Which is why American Greetings Corp. seems so very interested in online photo services that provide ways in which to do all these things with your photos. First Webshots, and now Photoworks, for $26.5 million.
