Thursday and here’s the roundup.  The week’s coming to an end and our list gets shorter.  Anyway these are still investments that should be able to help the industry and make a lot of young hardworking entrepreneurs real happy.

New York-based Magnify.net has raised $1M in a Series A round involving Next Stage Capital, New York Angels, Rose Tech Ventures, Active Angel Investors, Ogden Capital, Gideon Gartner, and Chris Anderson.

CrunchyRoll Inc., a San Francisco-based video sharing site focused on anime, has raised $4.05 million in Series A funding, according to a regulatory filing. Venrock led the round, with partner David Siminoff joining the board of directors.

Getty Images, the giant image wire and archive library service, has entered into final sell-out stages with Hellman and Friedman with an agreed upon pricetag of $2.4 billion. Hellman & Friedman are private equity investors out of New York City, with recent acquisitions of non-tech companies like Saipem SA, an oil and gas related organization, and a number of smaller private equity firms
