Apple Online Stores Run Out of iPhones, 3G Around The Corner?

iphone online stores out of stock

Recently, we reported that UK stores have sold out their stocks of the iPhone and that reorders were not on the way. Today We need to add to that report because there seems to be none of the iPhone left on online stores as well.

If you’re planning to buy an iPhone now, well, wait. Actually, you don’t have much of a choice. Apple has been slashing prices and draining out their inventories of the iPhone in Europe and now online. There are probably a few more left in stateside stores but I’m sure by now that they are also draining that too.

Why exactly? Well, Apple has not been talkative about that but what we do know is that they will be releasing a 3G version of the iPhone later this year (which many speculate to be June). Well, the dumping of the old stocks is certainly a step closer to the 3G version which was actually the only feature lacking on the previous iPhone that would have made it perfect. Still, Apple will be making a heap of money whe rhe 3G iPhone hits shelves. Great strategy from a business point of view. Sly and slimy from the consumers point of view though.
