Google’s got a new favicon.

If you haven’t noticed, the favicon is that little image / icon on the address bar of your browser to the left of the URL. Everybody has their own design and prior to last week, Google’s was really old school. It came in the dullest color and the font was simply too boring.

Now however, Google’s got it’s funk back. The new favicon is "highly recognizable and attractive, while seeming to capture the essence of Google."

Google’s Marisa Meyer posted on their blog how the new favicon came about. The design was inspired by 4 submissions from users.
