Dell Offers VoIP Service to Canada

Dell has partnered up with Fongo to offer a new VoIP service exclusively available in Canada. The Dell Voice app enables Canadians to call fellow Dell users without shelling a loonie.

Each user receives a local phone number that allows them to call major cities, as well as a handful of smaller ones. They also receive caller ID, voice mail, 911 service, and long-distance calling without any added charges.

Meanwhile, calls made in cities not included in Dell’s list cost two cents per minute, with each call averaging out to 1MB of data. So if you plan on calling a friend living in Norway House, Manitoba, too bad you have to pay.

The Dell Voice app is currently working on Android, iOS, and Windows Desktop. BlackBerry users will have to wait until next month before they get their very own Dell Voice app.
