Almost everybody in Facebook is familiar to Zynga, the company that provides popular social games such as Mafia Wars, Words With Friends, Cafe World, Cityville, and Farmville. However, not everybody plays these games, especially when it requires friends’ actions to further into the game.

So if you are one of many Facebook users who find it frustrating that your friends do not share the interest of playing Zynga games, the company has a solution for it. Zynga has announced a new gaming platform that would match players who are not friends in Facebook but have mutual interest in social gaming.

A trial version of the platform will be introduced on Zynga.com by late March. The move is also seen as a way for Zynga to reduce its reliance on Facebook. Most Zynga games are played on FB, while the social network derives 12 percent of its revenue from Zynga. The platform encourages players to go to Zynga’s own site, which not only features Zynga-made games but also those from independent developers.
