Instagram Begins Separation from Twitter

Well, it was good while it lasted.

If you have noticed how Twitter
‘s website no longer properly displays Intagram photos, that those filtered images tend to be a bit off-center, blame Instagram for that. The Facebook-acquired photo sharing site has disabled its Twitter cards integration, a drastic move that marked a new relationship status between the two social networking services.

This separation of sorts is also happening on Twitter’s apps. Instead of viewing Instagram photos directly on your Twitter timeline, Instagram now only leaves a link on every tweet that sends you to Instagram’s website, which has been redesigned to look exactly like Twitter.

Why is Instagram divorcing from the Blue Bird? Simple. Instagram wants you to view your photos not on Twitter, but on Instagram… and Facebook as well.

In a way Insta-twitters are left to choose: deprive their Twitter followers of seeing what they ate for dinner and leave a plain link or look for other Twitter-compatible photo sharing apps that has filters and then some.
