Twitter Throws Shade on Instagram, Launches Photo Filters

Seems like Instagram has an idea why it no longer supports compatibility with Twitter. The popular microblogging service unveiled its newest feature: allowing you to edit photos with filters before tweeting them.

This photo editing feature is currently available in the iOS and Android versions of Twitter. No word on whether other platforms would follow suit.

You can choose from one of eight filters, ranging from black and white to vintage. If you are wondering which filter to use, you can see how each filter would affect your picture in a single grid view, or swipe through different options.

The new feature also comes with a crop tool, wherein you can pinch on the screen to zoom in and cut out the excess; as well as an auto-enhance tool that automatically balances light and color settings just by tapping the wand icon.

This news could spark a new rivalry between Twitter and Instagram as they try to capture as many hipsters… err, casual photographers as possible.
